My mother came from a Gerer family, and her Holocaust-survivor friends were from similar chassidishe groups. She was the odd one out - she and my father became Lubavitcher chassidim.
Over the years, she had to constantly defend and explain the Lubavitcher Rebbe's revolutionary policies and campaigns.
And then came the Moshiach campaign. She did her best but one thing baffled her. Why was the Rebbe the only one trumpeting Moshiach's imminent arrival? Why is he the only Rebbe who 'knows' about it? Especially if he is indeed Moshiach shouldn't it be the reverse?! The other chassidishe Rebbes should be promoting him!
A valid question, no? I too was stumped – until several months ago, when I discovered that Moshiach himself orchestrates the Geula process!
It's nice to gain clarity, but better to already experience the full unfolding of Geula.
This series is dedicated to her memory, Rivkah bas Gittel a”h, an ardent Moshiach supporter!
Aptly, Reshet Rivkah was founded after her passing in 2002.
